Hi my name is Jamie Kolb. I could not be more excited for this year with you and your child in first grade. I am a native to Colorado and live in the Littleton area with my husband , our daughters Maddie and Emma and our two dogs Bodhi and Roo. This is my thriteenth year teaching. I am passionate about learning for both myself and my students and look forward to a great year together. If I am not in my classroom you can find me going on hikes with my dogs, spending time with my family, skiing, reading or doing yoga. I believe strongly in independence and the importance of choice, movement, play, thinking strategies and natural consequences. My classroom management philosophy is a product of these two books. I highly recommend that you read these books so we can have a common language at school and at home.
Welcome to our first grade crew blog. Here you will find important information about our crew and see updates about our year.
